Our extensive experience with exhibits has generated and reinforced a philosophy that is in accord with much of the field's literature. Specifically, we operate with these assumptions:

• The excellence of a didactic exhibition must be judged from a visitor experience perspective.
• Exhibitions developed around a solid theme, sometimes called a "big idea," are the most effective at educating and persuading visitors.
• The output of highly functional teams is greater than the sum of the participants' individual contributions.
